Air Canada's plans to acquire Transat AT , however the acquisition raises issues of public interest including the impact on airline competition,The bid is worth $ 720 million or $18 a share.Transat runs leisure carrier Air Transat,  and the deal would give Transat a 60 per cent market share of select transatlantic routes to and from Canada .This would also require domestic and European regulatory approvals.
